Hi there— I’m Rachel VerValin, creator and founder of Art Camp Lou. I'm passionate about inspiring others and finding connection, whether that’s through yoga, art, energy work, or astrology.

With 15 years of teaching experience, I am committed to helping others discover their unique creative flow. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where students can feel at ease and fully express their creativity.

I would love to have you join me on this journey of art camp reimagined!

Classes will be held at Art Sanctuary - 1433 South Shelby Street

Art Sanctuary was founded on the premise that art is an integral part of life.

We believe Louisville has a lot of artistic talent in need of an integrated and vibrant artistic community where art is what matters.

We believe in a Gestalt view of this community where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and by surrounding ourselves with excellence we further it.

FAQ’s

  • Each week will have anywhere from 10-25 students.

  • Nope. Art Camp Lou is for anyone with an open mind.

  • All art supplies and professional instruction are included. Each week students will also be bringing home portfolio ready artwork.

  • This camp is open to teens ages 13-16

  • Art Camp Lou is Monday through Friday, from 9a-12p. Drop off begins at 8:30a, and pick up ends at 12:30p. The first and last week’s of camp are four day weeks due to Memorial Day and 4th of July.
